look guys, using proper landing pages with PPC campaigns AND SEO it shouldn’t be taken easily. SEs see your anchor text as a part of the page itself, on the one hand, and besides getting better ranking on anchor text keywords it’s important to keep visitors on your site, on the other hand, here comes in place the importance of landing pages. Some people know that, some other don’t.

I agree that it is necessary to ‘entice’ people with something in order to get e-mail information as the majority of people don’t want to give out their contact details so easily. I feel that the newsletter approach doesn’t seem to work so well because they’ve become associated with junk mailings, and unless the person is familiar with a site and its products they won’t just sign up for the sake of it. I’ve noticed recently that a lot of websites offer entries into a prize draw for one of their products/vouchers if you sign up to their newsletter, and I’m considering this as a strategy to include on my exhibition giveaways site.

The reason why people clicks your ads is because they are looking for relevant results for a specific product or information, so it is wise to land them exactly to the page that is highly relevant to the keyword you have used. Like what you said, domain URL’s are not always advisable.

Apart from Google Network (google search) and Google Content Network… there is one more network where Google PPC ads appear called ‘Google Search Network’.. its a part of Google network where google have partnered with other sites to display PPC ads based on the keyword search… e.g. AOL, Ask.com, Amazon… etc
